In the 1920s, the Citizen`s Casino, located in the center of Tokaj, was one of the most prestigious buildings in the county. The elite citizens gathered here regularly for dinners, balls, charity and holiday events.

The 10-30 year old vines are grown in eroded soils that include a layer of ryolite and small patches of fertile loam.

The Medve vineyard is one of our highest located 250-270 m above sea level. The vineyard is surrounded by forests which cools down the climate. The delicate forest floor brings resin notes to the wines. The high magnesium soil content (can also be found in the Rhein region) adds vibrant minerality, bold character and an enjoyable sharpness to the wines.

Quality soil is guaranteed every year because it is enriched with lime, quartzite, and topped with a red coat.

Orientation:
The plants on the western slope (formerly known as Köves) have been strong and reliable for 30 years. For that reason the reddish- covered vineyards produce wines that are tight structure, high minerality and have superb aging potential.

Surrounded by a white riolite fence with quartz blocks the Padihegy vineyard was planted eight years ago.
Varietals:
chardonnay, pinot noir, furmint, hárslevelű, sauvignon blanc
Orientation:
Due to the delicate quality and unique balance of soil, it has become the only vineyard in the Villany or any other wine region with this quality of wines. Padihegy has played a key role in the harvesting of sparkling wines, with new Chardonnay and Pinot Noir plantations developing in the future.

The unique exposure and the eroded, clay-rich ryolite loam gives the soil many minerals. Due to these factors the vineyard produces complex wines with great aging potential.

Orientation:
We have done essential preservation to the vineyard within the last two years: vines were restructured, erosion prevention measures were implemented and centuriesold terraces were given a new lease of life. The stone walls were rebuilt in an angle to give solid protection against water downpour and soil erosion.
