Vineyards
Blend of estate-grown fruit from two of our young vineyards, specially planted in the colder Siklós area, to produce rosé: Makár and Zuhánya.
Winemaking
After thorough selection of the clusters, the grapes were de-stemmed and immediately pressed to have the least amount of time with the skin possible and get a pale rosé color. Fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks. No malolactic fermentation and no barrel ageing in order to produce our desired crisp and fresh style. Aged on its lees until bottling.
The Year
Colder-than-usual vintage specially challenging for our organically farmed vineyards. Constant rain from April until mid-July created perfect conditions for Peronospora growth. Our vineyard team had to take constant care of our vineyards during this time. From late July until October, we had steady warm and dry weather that helped the grapes get the ripeness needed. Great quality grapes could be harvested despite the challenging conditions.
