What is common in the art present at the Sauska wineries? That we love them. We share a common past, moments to remember, and great memories of unforgettable artists. Each piece changes with the tones, lights, and vibes of all seasons as we tag along and change with them.
But first and foremost we are grateful for their company.
As a self-taught artist, Frey became one of the most original representatives of the European Neo-Avantgarde generation. Due to his family background, he could not continue his college studies, and spent most of his creative life in exile. This oil work returned home from the United States and finally found its place in the abundance of light pouring in from the windows of our Villány winery.

Pekáry’s works were featured in the Venice Biennale three times before the Second World War. In 1936, he established the weaving workshop in Buda, where his tapestries inspired by folk art were made.
Her heart-warming textiles have found a home on the walls of Sauska 48: a deep harmony of man and nature flows from them, connecting the indoor and outdoor worlds.

The lushness and erotic energy of this masterwork first hit us in the artist`s studio in Paris; their dark passion is perfectly reflected in the warm Villány wines and blends excitingly into the fabric of our Mediterranean wine region.
Tibor Csernus: Biblical scene (1987) / Sauska Villány
Boldi is a great friend of ours. Winner of the Salon des Beaux Arts 2014 and the Prix Rumsey, winner of the Munkácsy Prize. His gigantic work of Carrara marble has become a symbol of our Villány winery, a prominent selfie point at our entrance and, not least, a favorite climbing spot for children.

Her small works have been with us in Tokaj for more than a decade. Her latest art installation flows along the walls of our new winery, and we can`t stop loving its meditative energy.
