Extra Brut Rosé Vintage 2012

Tokaj 2012

Medium pink with warm glints of gold. Dominated by indigenous Furmint with the addition of Chardonnay, Hárslevelű and Pinot Noir. The wine evokes a complex palette of gingerbread, figs, lemon peel and smoke flavors; all enmeshed in the layered texture and graceful harmony. The Year

Very dry year. We had an ideal blooming period, the fruit looked wonderful by early summer. Due to the extreme hot summer ripening sped up, especially of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. We had to go go on with the harvest very early immediately followed by the indigenous grapes, Furmint, Yellow Muscat and Hárslevelű. We were done by early October. Pretty unusual in Tokaj!
